Today's paw walk forecast is sunshine, sunshine, sunshine and more sunshine all this week.  Mother Nature "may" be gifting us with 80 degrees here for May Day.  We're trying to convince Mom she should take that day off since rain is scheduled for the weekend, but she says "WORK" is crazy and we'll just have to look out the window like she will have to.

Bit nippy in the mornings falling into the mid 40's for the night, but we get the bedroom window open so it's not that cold out.  Either that or we do a really good job of packing Mom into the bed like an Enchilada, a Burrito, a Manicotti, or as she refers to it, the Mummy tie down.

Mom's been out in the yard doing weird stuff and telling us to get out of areas and not walk here, not pee there.  All we hear anymore is NO BARK, GET OUT OF THE GARDEN, STOP!!  Put that on repeat and tell me who is more annoying for the neighbors to listen to.  At least they understand what Mom is saying.  BOL.

I figured I'd help her dig a hole since she was way over on the other side of the yard.  I didn't need her snoopervising my activities.

Well just look at all those roots I dug under for her.
I kicked a bunch of rocks out into the grass to make it fun for the lawnmower and windows.

The hole has been filled in, but I'm pretty sure if it's going to be in the 80's, I might want to dig to the aquifer to cool off.  You just can't take a fluffy dog from the mid 40's straight to the 80's in 3 days and not expect drastic cooling methods.

Take a look at this pups ~ any of you have these growing in your yards?  I think I need Whitley's help with zombie patrol.

2 parts powdered brains.
1 part slug slime.
1 part fungus-amungus.
Mix well and leave 1 week.

Too keep confined we suggest.
2 parts raised confinement wrapped with charmed copper coil.
1 part chives, garlic, or allium type flower. (planted behind out of  view)
1 part vigilant surveillance.

I think with this warm weather this upcoming week might have to watch things all night long.

Today's paw walk forecast is once again rain off and on for the day.  At least the temperature has warmed up here in the Pacific Northwest above the 30's during the day.  Spring flowers are starting to pop open around the yard.

All we've been doing is snoopervising Mom walk around in her spotted boots with her green fingers pulling stuff up out of the yard, yelling at us to "get out of the garden", when just last week we could trounce around and privacy please anywhere we chose.  Now there are "boundaries" we are supposed to adhere.  Boo!!

Today's paw walk forecast calls for more rain here in the Pacific Northwest.  Our hearts go out to the community of Darrington and Oso where a slide wiped out an entire neighborhood.  We live in the south part of Snohomish county, but Mom grew up in about the middle of the county and has been to both towns.  Heavy rain predicted for Darrington tonight, and hopefully the rain will let up until Friday like the weatherperson (who Mom swears is a habitual liar) predicts.  Friday will be raining again into Saturday and up north it has a different weather pattern, but I do know they have a lot more moss growing on trees and in the grass.  My wet frizzy ears would tell me that means they get more rain than we do.

Meanwhile tree pollen is high so Mom has been sniffing and occasionally explodes from her nose.  Or something along those lines.  Sometimes it lasts just once and sometimes she walks up and down the hall trying to curse but she just honks out through her nose.  I've seen Misty do this as well, so that may explain why she and Misty are so "protective" of each other.  Digusterrrrring if you ask me.

Here is what the weather looked like off the back yard tonight.  It was raining very hard even though you can't see it, but it's only 5:30 pm.

That's what we have.  Spring rain and finally in the upper 40's at least...until Mother Nature decides to mess with our garden and Mom again.  She still has plants that are popping up she refuses to pull the mulch off because there will be that "cold / snow / heavy frost snap".

After spending a good part of the day snoopervising Mom work in the yard we are now snoopervising her work around the house.

It all started with this you see.

Maybe if I check to see if my eyes are clean things might change.

And then out of the corner of my eye I catch Scooter doing this.

All in all, Pepper Power's paw walk forecast was for a day spent in the yard, causing trouble with all the other neighbor dogs on the other side of fences, drinking lots of water, enjoying the fresh smells in the breeze blowing by.  We're at 60 paw walking degrees in the sun and it feels great.  Headed back into the normal rain and spring weather for the Pacific Northwest starting tomorrow evening.  It was fun while it lasted.

Well those of you that know me, know I have to talk about the weather.  Boy howdy this week has been stormy for the Pacific Northwest.  While most of you pups have been living in Mother Nature's armpit this winter with all the snow, snow, snow, freezing, more freezing, more snow followed by more freezing.  We up here in Seattle have been laying low not wanting to remind all the other pups out there we've kind of been in the normal temps for our area, but not so much grey skies that we are used to.  Instead we have puffy clouds and sunshine.

No longer the case.  All the rain we didn't get in February decided to arrive starting on Sunday.  Today we have a day off with some more puffy clouds and clear skies, but *cue dark scary music* tomorrow before it will be back and ramp up all the afternoon long.  Look out to the east of us over the mountains (sorry Zoe suffering from what we PNW pups deal with from November to July. BOL), it will hit you late afternoon.  Our weather forecast calls for "a juicy band of clouds headed our way".  Sounds miserable, but the perfect weather to build a fire and take a nap all day long.

Mom will you throw on some hotdogs for us please.

Shaking the Pepper Power Forecast a Bit.

Perhaps, sometimes for a lark, we might switch up the paw walk forecast a bit.  I hope you all still read along and like the the sometimes switch.

As some of you know, we live a smidge north of Seattle.  I talk about the weather all the time and thought this would be a good time to fill you in on some PNW (Pacific North West) lingo.

PNW:  Pacific North West.  Usually when we are blogging it means the Seattle "area".  Infact it encompasses part of British Columbia all the way south to the very north of California.  Just that skinny area between the Pacific Ocean and the Cascade Mt range.  Everything to the east after that...different climates.

CHANCE OF RAIN:  Probably safe most of the day, but still allows weather forecasters an "out".

CHANCE OF SHOWERS:  Windshield wipers will be used sometime during the day.

SCATTERED CLOUDS:  Will rain most of the day, but oooohhhh!  Look, blue sky.

PARTIAL CLOUDS:  Just clouds drifting by if they even move.  Maybe a some sunshine at times.

SUN BREAK:  I hope you aren't looking the wrong way when this happens.

IMPULSE RAINS:  We leave this up to your imagination.  We believe it is that rain cloud that pours down while the sunshine is just there; on the other side of your domain.
